Hello Guys,

I have 2 questions: 1. Is Souseiki Ryu the same as Krav Maga? 2. Has anyone ever taken Krav Maga and if so, how effective do you think it is in Real life fighting.

The reason I am asking is, last week I attended a seminar and it seemed pretty cool, what are your thoughts?

Krav Maga is a good martial art. I see it is used by the Israeli Special Forces and alot of professional bodyguards take it as well. It is a little different than Souseiki Ryu in the since we continue on where they stop on the basics. Which is very understandable, given what it is designed for. Remember, the art does not make the person, the person makes the art, your success in it will depend greatly on what you put into the training. Some people will have different takes on it and how successful it is, I think you will have to discover that for yourself, let me know how it works for you take care and all the best in yor training.
